Two teams that are coming off of tough regulations losses will meet in Philadelphia tonight. The host Flyers dominated the Anaheim Ducks but fell to a late goal and the visiting Leafs fell 2-1 to an injury-plagued Rangers on the back of their worst effort of the season.
As per Jonas Siegel, John Mitchell and Carl Gunnarsson will be inserted into the line-up at the expense of Brett Lebda and Mike Zigomanis. Tyler Bozak, noted Justin Bieber fan will return to the top unit alongside Kris Versteeg and Phil Kessel. Jean-Sebastien Giguere, he of the .911sv% and 1.96 GAA, will get the start in front of a crowd that could be more hostile than usual depending on whether Roy Oswalt gets the job done against the San Francisco Giants.
The Leafs have hit a bit of a goal drought over the past two games which hasn’t been helped by a lack of goals from Phil Kessel and Clarke MacArthur. Mikhail Grabovski and Nikolai Kulemin have been craeting chances but they need to start burying them.
Now for your flashback, here is Ron Hextall getting pumped by Felix Potvin. The audio on the video is a couple of Philly homers so head over here to get Joe Bowen’s radio call.
