As the 2011-12 NHL season draws closer and closer we are getting ready for the second season of NationRadio. There are some exciting things being planned for this year and one of the most exciting is the announcement of our title sponsor Edmonton Motors.

You think that Lowetide's demands to be paid in 17th century Russian tapestries is cheap? Certainly not - it takes hundreds of thousands of dollars per week. We need to keep the sponsors happy to keep Lowetide happy to keep all our beloved listeners happy. Its a circle of happiness sponsored by Edmonton Motors and we can't be more pleased to be working with our newest partner.

This is NationRadio.

Segment 1

Ian Walker from the Vancouver Sun starts off the week with a smattering of all things Canucks including the recent Fedun hit, the pressure on Roberto Luongo this season, Ryan Kesler’s "personality" and the the outlook for the upcoming season in Vancouver.

Segment 2

Editor of the entire Nation Air Marshall Kent Wilson checks in to give his thoughts on the Flames this week as well as Stajan, Doughty and NHL brass Brendan Shanahan.

Segment 3

Lowetide reads some NationRadio listeners emails and discusses the matters of import.

Segment 4

Helene Elliot, columnist for the LA Times discusses the Drew Doughty Saga and former Oiler-turned-King Dustin Penner. Elliot and Lowetide also discuss the Brad Richards deal, the Colin Fraser fiasco and the Fedun hit.
