Lots of players are heading to play for new teams during the lockout. Which ones are you watching?

I'm watching Phil Kessel. He gave me Tyler Segin. I'm still wondering what next great player he will gift wrap for me. Either card would be great but I dont need anything else free. Just need more HOCKEY!
AHL hockey, specifically the Toronto Marlies. I'll definitely be going to a hell of a lot of games this season.
Gotta keep an eye on Nikolai Kulemin. Hope he can get his confidence up after the last season.
Jack Johnson card
Hey um i think that everyone knows to keep an eye on the okc barons eberle nugent hopkins shultz hopfully hall
Eberle and RNH in the AHL this year. If Hall joins them then I'll be keeping a close eye on him too.
Johnson card please
Definitely Nail Yakupov. It's his first year playing with the pros and I want to see what the hype is all about. Big development factor for him though. Oh, and I want the Rookie Materials! :D
Pavel Datsyuk to make sure he doesnt get hurt!
I am watching jordan eberle rack up the AHL with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
Staying up to date with John Tavares and SC Bern in Switzerland. Wish I could watch him take on HC Davos and Rick Nash. I know everyone wants the Johnson card so I'll go with the Wingels as preference.
Kulemin on Matellurg and RNH on OKC in the AHL. Also that Jack Johnson card would be nice.
Nash on Davos for sure.
Also that Wingels card would be amazing
I already got my home opener tickets for the Marlies on the 13th! The player I'm keeping my eye on is Joe Colborne. He is what we are looking for in a centre, size, play making ability and can score. Perfect guy to give time and space to Kessel and Lupul. And if I win, that Jack Johnson card would look awesome! By the way Steve, I remember you had a give-away for three cards earlier this year, as long as people messaged you on youtube, whatever happened to that?!
The London Knights. I would like to see what Max Domi and the Rupert twins can do in their second season in the OHL. Also, they have so much good, young talent that could eventually make an impact in the NHL. This team can defiantly contend for the memorial cup for the second year in a row.
I will be watching highlights of HC Davos since Joe Thornton is out there. Also a little bit of Geneva since Logan Couture is playing there. Haven't been able to see the Swedish team Douglas Murray signed with. Definitely paying attention to both Switzerland teams.
I've been watching Metallurg ever since Malkin and Gonchar joined the team. When Kulemin came it was basically just icing on the cake for a Leafs fan;).....buttt the games are wayyy to early sooo im looking forward to the marlies starting up soon
PS I'd like the Jack Johnson card...if i win
Kadri on the Marlies. Hoping he proves some critics wrong.
To be honest I'm not watching any hockey. But my eyes are on the members of the Boston Bruins.
I'm gonna watch some Saskatoon Blades, some Toronto Marlies, and maybe a little Metallurg Magitogorsk and CSKA Moscow. The Blades are hosting the Memorial Cup, the Marlies were great last year and got better (but technically worse thanks to some other teams getting WAY better), and Metallurg has Kulemin and Malkin, while CSKA has Grabo.
By the way I recommended Brandon Nemanishen to you Steve, and its my turn! Just kidding, but if I do happen to win, I'll take the Johnson off your hands.
Thanks again for the giveaway!
I've gotta say I'm gonna be watching myself a whole lot of Marlies games this year. Starting with the preseason game in my hometown of Brantford on Thanksgiving Monday against Bulldogs. I think I'd like the Jack Johnson rookie preferably by the way too, if I were to happen to be chosen :)
@oats
Aaaaand I just set I'd take the Johnson out of your hands... wow. Umm... woops.
To be honest since I have family and friends in Finland I have been following TPS Turku with Antero Niittymäki as their starting goalie. I hope Miikka Kiprusoff can go over and play a few games! Oh and if I do win the hockey card I would love to add the Jack Johnson card to my collection! Thanks!!! P.S I love the videos Steve! P.P.S I saw you at the 2010 Olympics! (I'm from Vancouver!)
The Leafs, Grabovski, Kulemin, and Franson.
Jack Johnson
I've been keeping an eye on Joe Thornton and Rick Nash. P.S. I would like the Jack Johnson card please
Marlies vs. Barons is gonna be intense this year. Eberle RNH Petry vs Kadri Colborne Zigomanis Gardiner. I'm excited for the AHL this year. Oh and is there stil gonna be the AHL Winter Classic?
Ben Scrivens, Nazem Kadri and Korbinian Holzer specifically but generally I guess the Marlies.
This season of AHL will be interesting because the competition will be a little bit more of a hybrid of the NHL/AHL - still mainly AHL but more NHL than ever - lets see how they fair here and it just might be an indication of what we may see from them on the leafs - that is if there is a season/they make it.
Jack Johnson preferred.
Cheers!!
I have been looking at Lupul because im dirty with him in chel 13.
Jack Johnson
I've got my eyes on Rick Nash who's playing for the HC Davos in the Swiss league. I have to admit, my heart skipped a bit when i heard the news that he injured his shoulder. Someone even floated that he might be concussed? Glad he's listed as day-to-day. Also, i noticed that Nash is playing with Joe Thorton in the Swiss league...as they did in the 05' lockout, also for the same team. Awww.. #LockoutBuddies
Kadri and the Marlies. Will he finally show some potential? Not off to a great start so far...
Rookie Card Young Guns Wingels
I'm keeping an eye on Joe Thornton on HC Davos.
I will be following future Leafs and should be Leafs this year in the AHL.
I'd like to see what a healed Joe Colborne can do this year. Kadri should really step up, this is his training camp essentially for the Leafs. It will be interesting to see where Frattin's game is post injury, he was on fire before getting hurt. Ashton needs to be productive as well, I didn't feel he should have been in a Leafs jersey last year so we'll see what he has to offer in the AHL.
I have also been watching the OHL's Oshawa Generals. Strong start to the season and it makes me wonder even more why Burke selected Tyler Biggs over now teammate Boone Jenner - 12 points in 5 games to Biggs 6 in 5.
JJ card please.
I´m watching Marcel Goc back here in Germany with the Adler Mannheim, and of course the craziest singings Simmonds and Stewart in Crimmitschau (Germany 2)
I hope Goc can do something special with his old team, hopefully after that he could step up some more for Florida...
Great Video´s Steve, keep it up!
Jack Johnson card would be nice :)
I will definitely see the most of Leafs prospect Stuart Percy with the Steelheads since I have seasons tickets. I may watch the CSKA vs Spartak on Thursday to see how Mikhail Grabovsky does on the big ice. Mainly trying to follow Canadian players in the KHL and not so much NHLers.
I'm watching the KHL, mostly SKA and Metallurg because that is were a few NHLers went
---Kyle Repar----
I'd have to say Scrivens on the Marlies. Hoping to see him have a great season to give some hope for his jump to the NHL.....whenever that happens.
And yeah, a Jack Johnson card would be pretty cool.
I'm going to be watching Tuukka Rask the closest over the course of the lockout. It'll be interesting to see what the Bruins do with Rask now that they have the stud of a prospect in Malcolm Subban.
I'd prefer the Tommy Wingels card. Love the kid.
Just been paying attention to Leafs players all round.
Either card.
Roman Cervenka. Perfect chance for me to see what this guy can do, and what he can hopefully bring to the table for the Calgary Flames next season.
Jack Johnson card is pretty sick!
I've been following Tyler Biggs as he plays for Oshawa and I've from Belleville. This is his first season in the OHL and I want to see his skill set at a higher level. I'm going to a game in Oshawa against the Bulls on Monday so it should be fun =)
Hey Dangle,
I'll be watching Nikolai Kulemin along with Nail Yakupov.
Nikolai Kulemin because I want him to have a better season than last season, although I still think he had a fine season in the NHL because of his penalty kill skills, the plays he set up for Grabovski, and so much more. I'd still like to see him bounce back in the goals category, and produce more than he did in the NHL last year, like the previous year before last year where he put up decent #'s. I find him scoring in the KHL isn't that much different than the NHL, considering he's still playing with high level pros.
Nail Yakupov because he's in the KHL playing against pro's for the first time. This kid is expected to be the next thing, but he has to show it somehow, and playing in the KHL can show it if he does his job well as expected.
I really want the NHL as I prefer that more than anything else, but the KHL, OHL, AHL, and whatever it may be, is fine for me.
Thanks, I'd really appreciate the Jack Johnson card because he's one of my favourite players outside the Leafs (No I'm just not saying that).
Thanks again, Zach
I've been watching Evgeni Malkin the most see how he is doing.
watching WHL (Vancouver Giants), and will be following the Chicago Wolves (AHL) to keep track of the Nucks prospects
AHL - Marlies.
Specifically I will be watching how Gardiner's game progresses, as he's an exciting player for the Leafs' future.
Also, Jack Johnson's card.
I will be watching the Phantoms in the AHL. I want to see Schenn and Couturier develop into the great players they will soon be.
I have closely been watching alex ovechkin. He came off a poor yet productive season. But with a new coaching staff and team he thinks differenly and has done awesome for the dynamo. Hopfully he will have the same intensity and offensive fire once the lockout is over. Also i hope to seem him come back to the nhl since he made that comment about quitting the nhl. one other guy has gotta be filip forsberg. He was 16th overall (should of gone higher) and has been dominating the swedish leagues. He is a huge prospect to loook out for and i cant wait to see him in the nhl
@AdamVac821
Oh man, :( no more of the human eraser as a leaf.
He really got the wrong development track here - only if they had the patience with him.
Sigh
Morgan Rielly for sure!
I'm watching some of the SEL guys because it's a neat style of hockey. Definetely not as physical but the passing is there and the PP's are fun to watch. Not that many players there yet but they're starting to sign on, Steen is already on Modo and Enstrom supposed to sign on. Brynas have Detroit prospect Jarnkrok who's awesome pretty awesome plus Franson signed on and they have this great American dman named Gunderson who's fun to watch and I'm confident will be in the NHL at some point.
Obviously hoping for some AHL games to be streamed or on TV because teams like Oklahoma and Houston (Minnesota's affiliate with Granlund/Coyle/Brodin/Phillips etc) are gonna be good to watch this year.
Going for the JJohnson card!
Jamie Benn is who I'm following. Tommy Wingles
Daniil Zharkov, hes a stud and plays for my bulls! Also Mike Murphy, the goalie for Spartek. He was drafted by Carolina but never get to play because of Ward. I knew him personally and wish he'll get a chance to show Carolina what their missing
Id prefer the Jack JOhnson but winning anything is cool enough with me
