I believe that the hart winner for this season (if there even is one) would possibly be Malkin again. How can this guy not be at the top of the list. Without Crosby this man was an absolute BEAST and with Crosby on the team as well that can only mean bigger and better things for Gino! Stamkos is going to be a strong contestant as well so who knows! If you would like to bet on who's winning the Pavel Datsyuk trophy... I mean Frank J Selke trophy imma take The man with the magic hangs Pavel D baby!!

Hmmm...MVP? Like you said, I think without a doubt Steven Stamkos. I mean, lets face it, the lightning would be waaaaaaay worse without him. Kid is absolutely ridiculous. I could easily see him getting league MVP.

Top 3 Candidateswould be The King Lundquvist, Malkin, and Giroux all will have monster years but I believe this is the year Claude Giroux breaks through the shadow of Sid, Geno, Stamkos and he'll win the MVP

Stamkos seems like a pretty a safe bet. Especially if he can get Tampa Bay to the playoffs.

I'm going to have to agree with you and say Stamkos. This good ol' Ontario boy put that entire team on his back. Terrible on the blue line and in net, and without Stamkos in the line up, it would be a guarantee that the bolts wouldn't have even won a fraction of the games they did.

By the way, the Briere card looks great!

Alex Ovechkin, I feel he will get out of his slump and go back to being a 50+ goal scorer now with the new coach. Ovie for MVP And the Briere card would be nice.

I think the next MVP will claude girioux. He is comming off an amazing 93 point season and it seems like every year he gets better and better. With guys like scheen, briere, hartnell etc. he will for sure have another great season. He is my pick for mvp.

I would perfer the danny briere jersey but either card is cool with me!!!

Stamkos wouldnt be a surprise but I will take a wild, crazy, maybe even stupid guess, and say that Ovechkin will have a turn around year. He will be the leader that he has been but with improved knowledge. Ovechkin for the win

I know this sounds like a typical *fangirl* answer, but I think Jonathan Toews is such a key player for the Hawks. While he doesn't put up stupid numbers like Stamkos, he really is an all-around player and has been a tremendous captain for the team, especially after their mass exodus of talent post-Stanley. I'm interested to see how his game shapes up, assuming there's some remnant of a season to be played.

Tampa will make the playoffs ( barely), Stamkos will score 50 goals but he will not! I repeat not! win the mvp. Sydney Crosby...........the best player in the game is poised for a true comeback season. He played in the playoffs and proved hes ready to play a full season. The man already scored 120 points in a season and 50 goals in a season. This year i am positive hes gonna finish around 120 points with 50 goals. The powerplay is going to be ten times better when neal, malkin and crosby start to build some chemistry as last year they only got the first 10 games before entering the playoffs. Sydney is also going to highly competitive with Malkin as the two have a quiet inner team competition going on. Sydney is happy for his team mate but i think hes extra motivated to take the hart, the stanely cup and the playoff mvp this year. Watch out..........crosby is going to put up a historic season whenever the nhl starts

Most people seem to be saying Stamkos, but as much as I hate to say it, I think that Sidney Crosby would be the player most likely to win the Hart Trophy.

As much as having Malkin on the same team, and Pittsburgh being pretty good without him anyway, he just gives them that extra something that makes them a special team.

As far as Stamkos is concerned I don't think a player can win the MVP on his own, he needs some sort of team around him because the other team can shut one player down (even if he is as good as Stamkos) for long enough that, that player can't always make as big an impact on a game as they'd like.

If for some reason I do win a card, I'll take either, but Danny Briere would be my first choice.

STEVE! I just saw you on CP24!

For MVP, I don't know. Stamkos would be my first choice... but I don't know, maybe Malkin would repeat. Or maybe another past winner, like Crosby. Or maybe Aki Berg will finally return to the NHL and he'll take it.

Last year in my fantasy hockey pool I picked steven stamkos 1st overall for a reason tampa didn't make the playoffs and he still was able to score 60 goals. If tampa makes the playoffs if the lockout ends I think stammer will win the hart trophy 100%. Btw steve love the videos watched all the LFRs! My birthday was on tuesday I would really enjoy one of those cards :D!!!

Wow, the level of agreement so far in the comments here is surprising. That said, I have to agree with the majority; I believe Steven Stamkos is the 2012-2013 Hart Trophy Winner. I'm not just saying that because he's my favourite player. He's a player who makes everyone around him better, and he can do it all himself if need be. Stamkos is the guy in 2012-2013.

This might be a long shot but I'm gunna say Michael Cammalleri. After what happened last season I'm sure he's fired up and more than willing to carry the Flames into the playoffs (hahaha...too soon?). Iggy can still score 30+ goals per season but he can't carry the team by himself.

as much as i love Malkin i don't see him winning it again this year... i really think its a Goalies turn or a Defenders turn to win the Hart this year and i think if we have a short season a really good goalie like Lundqvist or Quick would be strong candidates sooooo im going to go with Lundqvist on winning the hart

Hey Steve I think since Nashville lost Suter I think Pekka Rinne will win League MVP if Nashville even goes anywhere. His role will be much harder than before and personally I have a soft spot for goalies! Oh and if I win I would like the Daniel Briere card. Thanks! P.S Love the Videos!

I'm gonna go with a dman and say Alex Pietrangelo. The media/writers love him which helps but he's basically the only star on STL. I don't expect a goalie to play as big a role there as Rinne for example might in Nashville. I also expect Pietrangelo's offensive output to be greater than the majority of dmen and for his all-round game to progress.

I think the guys voting for this will just be chomping at the bit to give Pietrangelo some recognition and give him some award. As an Avs fan, I'd love for Landeskog to put up a ppg+ maybe and the Avs to get in the playoffs in which case you know people will be cheering for the young captain to get a hart.

That Briere card looks fantastic.
