NHLNumbers consensus draft list: Who is available at number five?

Derek Zona over at sister site NHLNumbers.com has published the consensus draft list, drawing from a combination of different rankings found throughout the online world of prospect scouting, both mainstream and blog variety. Which of these guys do we expect to see on the Leafs two weeks from now?

Wikipedia, which has aggregated all the trades for draft picks quite well actually, have the Leafs selecting in the following positions:

1st round: 5th overall
2nd round: 35th overall
5th round: 126th overall
6th round: 156th overall
6th round: 157th overall
7th round: 209th overall

The consensus list goes up to 100, and with just two selections in the top 100, adhering strictly to the list would give the Leafs Mathew Dumba from the Red Deer Rebels in the 1st round and Tanner Pearson of the Barrie Colts—a couple of good Canadian kids that the Leafs so desperately lack, or something.

Top 10:

#   Pos   Name   HT   WT   L/R  Team   Move
1 F Nail Yakupov  5'11 180 L Sarnia Sting 0
2 F Filip Forsberg  6'2 180 R Leksand 0
3 F Alex Galchenyuk  6'1 185 L Sarnia Sting 0
4 D Ryan Murray  6'0 182 L Everett Silvertips 0
5 D Mathew Dumba  6'0 172 R Red Deer Rebels 1
6 F Mikhail Grigorenko  6'2 192 L Quebec Remparts -1
7 D Morgan Rielly  6'0 190 L Moose Jaw Warriors 0
8 F Teuvo Teräväinen  5'10 161 L Jokerit 0
9 D Jacob Trouba  6'1 183 R USA NTDP U18 0
10 D Griffin Reinhart  6'4 202 L Edmonton Oil Kings

0

And 31st to 40th:

#   Pos   Name   HT   WT   L/R  Team   Move
31 L Philip Di Giuseppe 5'11 176 L Michigan -4
32 D Damon Severson  6'1 188 R Kelowna Rockets -3
33 F Martin Frk  5'11 190 R Halifax Mooseheads -8
34 F Stefan Matteau  6'1 188 L USA NTDP U18 -3
35 F Tanner Pearson 6'0 192 L Barrie Colts -2
36 D Dalton Thrower  6'0 195 R Saskatoon Blades -1
37 D Jordan Schmaltz  6'2 175 R Green Bay Gamblers -3
38 L Anton Slepyshev 6'2 187 R Novokuznetsk 6
39 F Daniil Zharkov  6'3 195 L Tri-City Storm -3
40 D Ville Pokka  6'0 187 R Kärpät -2

Any names that stick out to you on either list? I'm partial to taking forwards in the first couple of rounds instead of forwards or defencemen, but would prefer for the Leafs to stay away from the 19-year old Pearson and take younger players. That makes Teuvo Teräväinen a fairly attractive option, who will probably be the youngest player taken, and therefore the most room to develop.

Leafs Nation did a quick straw poll. Amalgamating the Top Five lists of myself, Danny Gray and Ryan Fancey, we came up with a brief list for the Leafs:

1 - Nail Yakupov
2 - Alex Galchenyuk
3 - Filip Forsberg
4 - Mikhail Grigorenko
T5 - Ryan Murray
T5 - Teuvo Teräväinen
7 - Radek Faksa

Those are the guys we'll be keying in on in the next few weeks, as well as a few secound round options we like.

Give us your lists in the comments.

Somebody said this about Teravainen and I agree - I don't trust anybody whose stock has risen this sharply because of what appears to be one good tournament. I'd be pissed if the Leafs took him over whoever was left of Murray/Grig/Forsberg/Galch/Yakupov.

If we pass on 4 - Mikhail Grigorenko I'll cry for days. He's got all the upside. Fallen stock on sale!

Wasn't Martin Frk a top 10 prospect at some point? Looks like he dropped 8 spots recently. Would be a nice pick-up with 2nd pick.

I wonder if Burke picks up a few mid-round picks and tries to draft those twins on the Knights.

@Cam Charron

One is likely to go undrafted or just that they're likely a package deal?

I don't see Edmonton AND New York passing on ryan murray, whether its a matter of edmonton trading down or NY just drafting him at 4. If he does drop to 5 somehow ill be happier than anyone to have him.
