NHL lockout be damned! Let's do this!
Just like the video says: Leave a comment and you'll be chosen at random to recieve one of either a hockey card with pieces of game-used jersey from four different former Leafs (Matt Stajan, Vesa Toskala, Luke Schenn, and Jason Blake), or a card atuographed by current Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf.

Hey Dangle,
I think the Pittsburgh Penguins would win the Stanley Cup if there was a season. Why?, because Sidney Crosby is HEALTHY. He returned to the lineup last year and was on pace for like 125 points if he played the hole season, that's incredible.
Although Fleury didn't play so well in the 2011-12 Stanley Cup Playoffs, he is still an elite goaltender and has the ability to carry the Penguins to the Stanley Cup.
The Penguins offense is awesome, defense is pretty good, and goaltending has improved in my opinion with picking up Tomas Vokoun as a backup goaltender, while Marc-Andre Fleury is in net as #1.
If it's not Pittsburgh, it will be the New York Rangers. I'm really determined it will be these teams, the Rangers are going to be super hard to stop up front, it's to bad they couldn't pick up Doan because if they did the EAST would have been having a hell of a time. Even without Doan, I think they have there 1st 2 lines all #1 line players.
The Rangers and Pittsburgh will be to strong, if it isn't a team from the EAST, you can't forget Minnesota in the west with there pickups over the summer, Parise... Suter... etc.

Hey, Steve. If there was hockey this year, I'd say the Pittsburgh Penguins would win the Stanley cup. (I'm not bias because I'm a Leafs fan, obviously) The reason for that is because last year Crosby did not play a full season, but was dominant in the games he did played. So a healthy Crosby,+Malkin+Letang=Unstoppable. And if you're having doubts in net, since Fleury did look shaky in the playoffs last season, they now have Vokoun who has shown that he can get it done in the NHL. So Penguins for Lord Stanley 2012-2013, if there is a season for course. The Phaneuf Card would be most appreciated :D

Also the Phaneuf Card if much appreciated, you already gave me the last leaf captain so now it's time for the recent captain :D
i'd like to know who honestly picked LA at the beginning of (and/or at any point during the regular season)last year. lol.
so with the arbitrary nature of our picks at this time in mind, and despite their lack of lidstrom, i'm placing all bets on the detroit red wings. simply because, as a leafs fan surrounded by wing nuts.. i imagine, were such fantastical beings as hockey gods to exist, they'd also kind of have to be massive jerks...
in keeping with this thought: jonas 'the monster' gustavsson will definitely play an instrumental role in said championship victory run.
p.s. i'd be quite happy with either card :] or even just an NHL season. make that happen, dangle!
I like turtles
I'm thinking the Rangers from the east for sure. Lundqvist is always going to give them a chance. Plus, they have Nash now, so all they really need are more competent 5/6 dmen.
LA from the west. but only if Quick doesn't have any lingering issues from the surgery.
I think the Flyers would win the cup if there was a season this year, their roster is pretty filthy!

Unfortunately for the internet hockey community, the Vancouver Canucks will win the Stanley Cup.
I don't know what displays the Leafs' ineptitude more... The players who failed to get us to playoffs, or the captain that's currently failing to get us to playoffs.
(I prefer the Phaneuf) And I think if the Leafs get a good goalie not saying Reimer is bad but if they do I think they will have a chance to make the playoffs.
i want a card :D
San Jose has a pretty good roster, the Rangers could do it to.
Does that person get more of a random chance for posting the same thing twice? Good strategy.
Cup prediction? The flyers, to my disliking. They have a ton of depth and a good mix of players. They might have made a push this last playoffs if they didn't have to battle through the Pens like that.
Those hockey cards are mad cool. Coming from a Sabres fan (I know) I love the jersey card. I met Jason Blake once at (at the time)Hsbc arena. Solid dude and great patience with all the fans.
Cheers Steve. (P.S) Thanks for helping me find what bars/restaurants to goto for that Marlies/Amerks game, had a blast.
I think the penguins will win the cup if there was a season, they have a solid team with crosby healthy and they are a shoe in for the cup this year.
Though LA could repeat I could very well see Boston getting back to the cup final and wining as they did in 2011. My pick is for the Bruins.
Detroit is my pick to win the Cup. Losing Lidstrom is a big loss, but their system is just SO SOLID. If Howard can stay healthy, they'll be a threat. Datsyuk and Zetterberg are running out of time to win another Cup.
Oh, and the jersey card ;)
I think the Pens have a solid chance of winning the Cup this year. If Crosby is back and healthy, they'll have a bunch of really strong offensive guys.
I'm going to adree with Steve. LA is just waaaaay too stacked, and the average age of the Kings is pretty old. Quick is amazing and Doughty isn't even in his prime yet, could be interesting...
The Rangers had a very good season and post season run last year. Lundqvist put up great numbers and the defense played very well. The addition of Rick Nash might give them the offensive edge they need to go all the way.
I'm taking leafs for the cup. i want to win that card! huge leafs fan- I hate montreal...like that's instawin
(Probably should have proof read my last comment DUHHHHH)
I'm going to agree with Steve. LA is just waaaaay too stacked, and the average age of the Kings is pretty young. Quick is amazing and Doughty isn't even in his prime yet, could be interesting...
Depending on when the season starts (if at all) maybe we'll have a repeat of 1995 when the Devils took the cup. They looked good in the playoffs after the first round and would be even better with Kovalchuk uninjured. Love that Phaeuf card! Keep up the good work buddy.
WHOOOOOO I LIKE CARDS!
Favorite to win the cup if there's a season? I would have to pick (as much as it pains me to say it) the Boston Bruins. I find that they play with a lot of grit and they have skilled players on their team as well. Obviously this would be an injury free team, and their goal-tending would have to be good, but they have shown that they can put the puck in the back of the net.
oh and I'd love the Phanuef card.
I think Tampa Bay will win the cup. I want the Phaneuf card!
But really its hard to say who would win the cup this season, I remember people saying Buffalo was going to do really well... although L.A. does look good to go far again.
There is a card store in Ajax and it is all not for profit. http://www.frozenheroes.com/
I have a feeling the Canucks will win it this year. I don't know about the whole Luongo thing, but I just feel even if Luongo is gone, or benched Schneider can get it done! Or the Leafs could always win it :), that wouldn't be to bad either.
I think the Chicago Blackhawks are the best bet for the cup. (Prefer the Phaneuf card)
Well, in my opinion, the LA kings are the best team at the moment, but in my gut I think it will be either Chicago, or Philadelphia.
Sup Dangle!
I honestly think the Rangers will win... they just keep on adding pieces and eventually something should click. I mean, Rick Nash along side all the other previous acquisitions! Lundquvist is gonna give it his all as well, his years in the NHL are numbered and hes gonna want to get a cup under his name.
Dion Phaneuf! Thanks!
Oh, and Id prefer the Phaneuf card XD
I say it is the year of the Kings, again. Despite them finishing 8th in the conference last year, they totally deserved the Cup and they are built in every position, they are a loaded team.
Trade you straight up for the elusive Derek Laxdal RC.
Pittsburgh for sure. With Crosby back in the lineup they'll be a force to be reckoned with. They were great without him, but with him again they'll dominate.
Gotta say the Wild will take it this year. Parise, Koivu, Sutter, Granlund, Heatley, Setoguchi, Scandella, Bourchard...... Too much to be defeated..
I think the Rangers will win it this year
leafs cuz its about time!
I think the NYR will win the Stanley Cup. They didn't give up much in the off-season acquiring Nash and that adds a valuable piece to their forwards who were already very dangerous. Their defense is great with Staal, Girardi, Del Zotto etc, and their goaltending is vezina trophy winner The King Henrik Lundqvist. They may not win the cup but they will knock out a lot of good teams in the playoffs for sure.
I really think its the New York Rangers, if there is a season. There better up front, still solid defensively, and of course they have king Henrik.
LA hasn't lost anyone, so they would still be a favourite. they were pretty consistently beastly since Christmas so tired of seeing bettman's ugly mug on TV. this is going to take a while.
They always have a great roster, and always find a way to screw it. Bryzgalov MUST be better.
I'm gonna go ahead and put them in the same category as the Flyers.
Glad I could help, buddy! As for Blake, I'm sure he's cool. I'm sure most players people (like me) rip on are cool. I've only met a small handfull of players I didn't care for.
I honestly think this won't be Chicago's year. Tampa Bay will probably be in the playoffs with the Rangers, Penguins and possibly also Vancouver. I'll go with the popular opinion and say a final between Penguins and Canucks. ( Said the same thing last season, didn't go that well for these teams. )
I gotta go with the Pits if Fleury picks his game up and Crosby plays the whole season...btw I'd love the Dion hockey card please and thank you :)
I think the NY Rangers would have taken it.
