Finally, I've been waiting so long for the Leafs to play and for LFRs :). I wonder what happens with Luongo if Schneider maintains his abysmal play from yesterday. I thought the Leafs played well defensively, haven't seen that in awhile. When Montreal got close, the Leafs were able to grind it out and get out of there with a win. I'd love to see more games like that this season. I also thought the Avs fared well against a now offensively stacked Minnesota team thanks to Suter and Parise. As a die-hard Leafs fan, I'd take any of the Leafs rookie cards if I'm chosen.

Kostka looked spectacular lately. Also, I personally was impressed with how physically engaged Kadri was right from the start. It may have only been against a team predicted to finish close to last, but the Leafs looked solid last night.

Personally I'd go for a Lupul card. Since he got that contract extension...might be around for a while.

I love how Komarov plays like Boyce, but I'd still prefer to have Boyce on the team, since he isn't signed yet. Also I did think that playing Scrivens was a bit odd, considering he isn't the expected starter, but he has had a lot more playing time so hopefully after Reimer has a few practices under his belt, he can start again. (Lupul card please).

Happy the NHL is back and am happy for all the Marlies that have made the jump. All of them in the lineup last night had a good game, and were great in the AHL. Kadri, Scrivens, Komarov, and Mike Kostka who played great in his first NHL game, and yes Steve he was amazing with the Marlies this season! Both the Leafs and the Marlies beating Montreal and Hamilton, great night for Toronto hockey! and by the way way, that Scrivens card looks nice.

I was pretty disappointed about the Canucks game, though... turned off the TV after the Ducks scored the sixth goal. I think nerves got the best of them.
