Jeff Veillette (Jeffler)

Early in the third period, Dion Phaneuf went for one of his trademark open ice hits. This time, it didn't go exactly as he had hoped, hitting winger James van Riemsdyk straight in the head. Click on to see it:
van Riemsdyk was sent to the quiet room for a few minutes, said he was okay, and then went back on the ice. If you know the Leafs' history with concussions, this sounds absolutely terrifying. Especially when van Riemsdyk has had concussions in the past. Hopefully, he's actually okay, but forgive me for being skeptical and scared.
Speaking of missed hits, concussions, and the Toronto Maple Leafs, this play reminds me of when Darien Hatcher missed Alex Steen, then a Leaf, and concussed Joffrey Lupul, then a member of the Flyers.
