Team Canada World Junior camp roster announced

Hockey Canada announced just a short time ago their Junior Selection Camp Roster for the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championships, and there's a single, lonely Leafs prospect on that list. Frederik Gauthier will represent the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Rimouski Oceanic at Canada's selection camp, and is likely to compete in Malmo, Sweden.

As James Mirtle reports, Team Canada head coach Brent Sutter may already have Gauthier's named penned in the lineup...

Leafs lose more than the game: Lupul out

Joffrey Lupul is injured again. Earth is round, water is wet.

Lupul, who missed the third period of Monday night's 6-0 loss to Columbus, will not travel with the Leafs on their upcoming road trip. The 30-year old winger has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 groin strain, and will likely miss the next three games against Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Montreal.

Leafs Are Bad, Lose 6-0 to Blue Jackets

Nothing gold can stay, or at least maintain a save percentage of .947.

James Reimer, starting for the second time in as many games, looked to prove that he can hold the net from Jonathan Bernier for an extended period of time. That didn’t go very well, as the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets managed to put six goals past Reimer on only 21 shots.

To be fair, it wasn’t all Reimer’s fault. A few of those he’d probably like to have back, but the Leafs in general looked like poop personified.
