LGD – Game 80: Final Strike?

Honestly Morgan, you should just go for it, dude. C’mon.

Pretty sure the odds Tiffany can get Morgan Rielly to go to prom with her are about as good as the odds the Leafs can make playoffs right now. Actually, her odds might be better.

As I wrote earlier today (hellz yeah I’m posting that link twice), it’s not impossible for the Leafs to make it, but… C’mon.

Either way, while there’s still a chance, the Leafs have Tampa Bay tonight and they need to come prepared.

James van Riemsdyk – Tyler Bozak – Phil Kessel

Mason Raymond – Dave Bolland – David Clarkson

Troy Bodie – Nazem Kadri – Nikolai Kulemin

Jerry D’Amigo – Jay McClement – Nobody

Carl Gunnarsson – Dion Phaneuf

Cody Franson – Jake Gardiner

Morgan Rielly – Tim Gleason

Paul Ranger

Hey look. Kadri’s with Bodie and Kulemin on the third line. “But why isn’t he scoring like last season?” WELL I HAVE A THEORY!

*EDIT* – Hold the phone

Keep an eye out for that.

LIGHTNING LINEUP COURTESY OF DAILYFACEOFF.COM

Ondrej Palat – Steven Stamkos – Tyler Johnson

Alex Killorn – Valtteri Filppula – Ryan Callahan

Richard Panik – Tom Pyatt – Teddy Purcell

Ryan Malone – Nate Thompson – B.J. Crombeen

Matt Carle – Radko Gudas

Victor Hedman – Sami Salo

Eric Brewer – Andrej Sustr

Paul Ranger is in the Leafs’ lineup. Alex Killorn is in the Lightning’s lineup. Hey remember this?

Just something to look out for. The Leafs can’t really afford to be chasing a guy around when they still have a possible shot at a playoff spot. If they fall behind though? We could see something. As an aside, Radko Gudas remains one of the coolest names in the NHL. Say it out loud. Just do it. Fun, right?

STARTING GOALIES COURTESY OF DAILYFACEOFF.COM

James Reimer in net for the Leafs, Ben Bishop in net for the Lightning. Reimer lost his starting job this season while Bishop has been mentioned in the same breath as the Vezina almost all year long. He’s coming off a pair of less-than-great performances against Calgary (three goals on 24 shots) and Dallas (five goals on 28 shots), so who knows?

The Leafs and Lightning clash in Tampa Bay at 7:30 on Sportsnet Ontario and RDS.
