It’s World Junior time, but it’s also very close to CHL trade deadline time. With that comes all the excitement of watching prospects you’ve possibly forgotten about moving to new teams in hopes that they might get a few extra playoff games.
Today’s move involves former training camp signee Cody Donaghey…

So Donaghey finds himself on his third team in 2015, joining the Moncton Wildcats.
After an injury plagued year in Quebec, Cody has been solid in his time in Halifax, while playing on a not so good team. He’s joining the team that is third in the league, and at the top of their division.
Moncton is best known for having Conor Garland, who has put up 80 points in 33 games this year. If you suddenly start to see Donaghey’s point totals spike, there’s a good chance he’s on the ice with Garland.
In other Leafs prospect trade news, we’re still waiting to see what happens with Dmytro Timashov, who probably won’t finalize his trade until after the World Juniors.
