A few weeks ago, we asked you to play the role of Lou Lamoriello (or Kyle Dubas, for those of you who read your hockey news on your phones) and submit your trade proposals to make the team better, be it now or eventually. Of course, a quarter of the organization has moved in that time frame, but a few ideas survived.
Now, its in your hands. It’s up you to decide who the best Armchair GM in the classroom is.
Remember, the winner of this vote gets a snazzy $50 Violent Gentlemen gift card. With that considered, get your votes in for your favourites! The smartest deserve to be beautifully dressed.

I think you need to add a “realistic” ranking for each of these
I agree otherwise I would have suggested a bag of pucks, Steve Simmons and his secret hotdog vendor for Kane and Toews
I don’t think you would get both of those guys for that price.
PS. I had proposed the Phaneuf trade before it happened.
I don’t think any Dallas fans would do #1 and no Montreal fans would do #3. And we’d be fools to do #8. Shattenkirk is a UFA after next year, we’d be giving up a really good young defensemen on a good contract, plus a mid first round pick. NO thanks.
Can we put the winning proposal on HFboards so we can see it bashed by hockey…. experts?
Grabner (retained salary), Tonato to Chicago in exchange for Bickell and Pokka
LARS ELLER to the Leafs for a Prospect /and or Pick
Sorry !
what I meant is Leafs Take LARS ELLER
as a Salary dump and get picks / prospects
from the Canadians for
……..
well a roster spot in some form….
@#8 Mark Gregory, Are there any players actually being traded ?
Yes Indeed –
Lars Eller and his huge salary to the Leafs and like a second rounder for say Brad Boyes.
Does that sound right?
But in essence the Leafs buy a pick.
* sign Kovalev to a 1 yr coontract next year if he is considering it, and it could be another Jagr-meister. Would be good for sales and interest imo.
All the young lads could learn a thing or two from him. Imo the best puckhandler that I have ever seen. Never really speedy but smooth as silk. Great for the power-play and extra-man situations.
wow… my clune for scott one made the list!
But now Clune is threatening to rip jerseys off opposing players, he may be worth keeping around for entertainment purposes only. We will need all the entertainment we can get for this run to the finish.
