My man Stevie would never let a Leaf jersey touch the ground never mind throw it on the ice. That would be like a Catholic priest serving the Host with cheese during communion.

Mr. Dangle worships the jersey and the team it represents as do I and millions of other fans. Yes you heard me, there are millions and millions of fans of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Even after 49 years of sad sack futility, they continue to be the most popular hockey team worldwide.

      Go Leafs!

Full respect. I even lolled at the host simile.
While I admire your sense of humor I think calling the Leafs the most popular hockey team in the world rings a bit like saying that Babolat has the most popular shuttlecocks.

Your reply does raise an interesting question, what’s the proper way to launder a sacred team jersey, like, if it gets soiled by mustard or on the ride home on the TTC?
