Pickard sent to Marlies, Gauthier called up

The Leafs are shaking things up once again. This morning, the team announced a pair of transactions:

Pickard played just one game for the Leafs, a 4-3 overtime loss in which he made 24 saves. Curtis McElhinney was healthy and skating again, likely backing up Frederik Andersen in tonight’s matchup against Tampa Bay.

Catching up with TSN report Kristen Shilton at practice today, it appeared the Gauthier was skating on the team’s fourth line.

He’ll likely make his season debut tonight. In 25 games with the Marlies this season, he’s picked up eight points via five goals and three assists.
