Timothy Liljegren was back on the ice at practice on Friday and scheduled to be back in the lineup when the Toronto Maple Leafs visit the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday.
“I feel pretty good and I had no symptoms at all,” the defenceman said.

Liljegren suffered a head injury in the first period when he whiffed on a shot and lost his balance as he barreled into Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras at 14:26 of the first period.
“I actually didn’t know that and was told about it afterwards,” Liljegren said. “I guess I tripped him with my head but it was kind of a weird call.”
Head coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed Liljegren’s head injury shortly after the Maple Leafs defeated the Anaheim Ducks 4-3 in a shootout and that he was kept out for the remainder of the game for precautionary reasons.
“There were some positive signs as the game wore on and after the game. They (medical staff) were feeling a bit better about him,” Keefe said after the game.
Keefe said Liljegren is scheduled to be back in the lineup and the Swedish defenceman took part in a full practice alongside Travis Dermott.
The news wasn’t as good for defenseman Jake Muzzin.
The veteran defenseman skated again in a red non-contact practice jersey and will miss his fourth consecutive game with a concussion.
“Both he and the medical team are just not comfortable with where he’s at,” Keefe said following practice on Friday.
