Can you imagine how much everyone would freak out if a team won a game that moved them into 1st place in the league and then they fired the coach? Well, that happened today in the KHL. No, really.
Some great action around the KHL today. Check it out!
Kovalchuk with a pair of terrible giveaways, but him teammates bail him out. After winning and moving into the top spot in the KHL standings, SKA fired their coach… Yeah. I don’t get it either.
After cooling off a bit, Nail Yakupov picks up a pair of assists for Neftekhimik.
Sergei Gonchar breaks the glass with a slapshot from the neutral zone. Eep. Also, his team lost.
These two teams don’t feature a ton of big NHL-related names, but they’re both unreal.
Lokomotiv is cooling down from their hot streak as they lose again, this time to Slovan.
And everything all in one. Watch until the very end to see Joffrey Lupul’s brutal giveaway in OT.
