Andersen set to return tomorrow, Sparks loaned back to Marlies

Were you worried that Frederik Andersen’s injury would dash the Leafs’ playoff hopes?
Well, worry no longer, as he’s back in full action at today’s practice, as the Leafs made the move to return Garret Sparks to the AHL today.
While we never got a clear word what exactly his injury was that forced him out of the game Dallas last week, it obviously wasn’t serious enough to sideline him for more than a couple games.
Looks like we’ll have to wait a little while longer to see Garret Sparks play meaningful NHL hockey.
Sparks has made a case for “best goaltender outside of the NHL” with a .936 save percentage this year with the Marlies. But hey, that’s the price of doing business in the world of pro hockey, and hopefully an opportunity will arise for
