Attempting to make sense of Sunday’s abomination: Leafs Morning Take

Personally, it’s hard to come to grips with the fact that just a week and a half ago, we were celebrating this franchise’s first playoff series victory in 19 years.
What a fall from grace.
Any way you slice it, the Leafs got what they deserved on Sunday night.
As one would expect, it was a sobering Monday edition of Leafs Morning Take. I mean, it’s tough – despite how hard one can try – to be optimistic when a team’s down 0-3. And quite frankly, I think it’s the way they lost that’s the problem here. Moral of the story: Jay Rosehill did not hold back with his assessment of whatever that performance was in Game 3.

After we got all that out of our system, powered by our friends over at Skip, the conversation shifted to Game 4 and who should start in goal —assuming Ilya Samsonov can’t go, of course. Honestly, that was on the cherry on top to the whole night was seeing Sammy go down. Good grief.

Lastly, for the Betano Wrap Up, we went to one of our go-to bets anytime the Edmonton plays.
Join us on Tuesday at 11 AM ET as we try our darnedest to tee-up Game 4 on Wednesday. Also, former Toronto Marlies head coach Dallas Eakins, who’s been doing some solid work on Sportsnet’s panel, will join us.
