Bibeau Back to the Marlies

In a move that isn’t at all surprising, the Leafs have returned Antoine Bibeau to the Marlies today.

The decision to return Bibeau now is likely connected to the fact that the Marlies have three games this weekend and it would be great to get him into at least one of them and with Bernier’s ten day conditioning stint running out this weekend as well, they will need someone to take over the bulk of the net duties until Reimer has recovered and Sparks returns.

While it may have seemed tempting to send Sparks back down first in order to get in some additional work before possibly being used by the Leafs next week, it’s a nice thing to let him draw his NHL pay for a few more days.
