Oh wow. Didn’t that few days off feel like FOREVER?
Well, we’re back now, and the Leafs are looking in much rougher shape to make the playoffs than say, a week ago. Picking up just a lone point in three games will do that to you.
But hey, this is likely the first post you’ll read on the new site redesign!
And they’re taking on the Red Wings tonight at home, so there’s a greater than zero chance that they’ll finally win a game!

Robbie Russo slots in for his NHL debut tonight, while it doesn’t look like Mitch Callahan will get his second start of the season.
The Wings this year, as you likely know, are very bad. Bad enough that they’ll likely miss the playoffs for the first time in over 25 seasons.
So I present you:

The top 10 most hilarious things about the Red Wings this season

10.  Pavel Datsyuk straight up decided not to play for this team
Current Arizona Coyote Pavel Datsyuk decided it wasn’t worth it to play hockey anymore… in North America.
9.  Anthony Mantha didn’t make the opening day roster
He’s currently second on the team in scoring amongst active players.
8.  Ken Holland re-signed Drew Miller and Riley Sheahan
$1.025 million x 1 year and $2.075 million x 2 years.
7.  Riley Sheahan still hasn’t scored this year.
0 goals, 9 assists in 853 minutes of ice time.
6.  The Leafs have 12 players this season with more points than Dylan Larkin
Also self-explanatory. 21 points in 61 games.
5. Jimmy Howard played like a Vezina candidate this season then got injured
I mean that’s not “ha-ha” funny, but it’s unfortunate timing to say the least. The team also averaged like, 0.2 goals per game for when he was in net.
4.   Steve Ott, Luke Glendening, and Drew Miller played 105 minutes together as a line.
They scored a total of one goal.
3. Danny DeKeyser is signed until 2021-22.
He’s getting paid $5 million per year.
2.  Andreas Athanasiou is 21st in average ice time among skaters on the team.
He’s 2nd in 5v5 points/60.
1.  This Jeff Blashill quote:
He said this last week.
So yeah, the Wings are a bit of a carnival show.

Starting goalies

It’s Andersen vs. Mrazek tonight in the battle of the Europeans!
