The Toronto Furies played the first game of their final home weekend tonight against the Calgary Inferno. The game was shaky, and unfortunately, the Furies came away with the L.

BLUE WARRIOR

Tonight’s Blue Warrior goes to Natalie Spooner. Toronto’s Captain was the lone scorer on the team tonight, and appeared to be holding her team together by strands. The Furies spent the game looking disoriented and disorganised and Spooner was a light through that.

SHOUTOUT

Tonight’s shoutout goes to the team from Orangeville who came out in full force. They cheered loud every time one of the Furies touched the puck, and made themselves known. Here’s hoping they come down to a game with a better result.

COMING UP NEXT

The Furies play next on Sunday, January 22nd, in their last home game of the season. Tomorrow’s game is also their Heritage Game, paying tribute to the 2014 Clarkson Cup Champion team. The tribute begins at 12pm, with the puck dropping at 12:30pm. The game will also be broadcast live on Sportsnet.
