BLUE WARRIOR

Today’s Blue Warrior, like yesterday, is the Toronto Furies’ Captain, Natalie Spooner. Spooner put everything on the line for the team today. She risked potential injury in a puck battle to the net with Brampton’s Rebecca Vint. And while she didn’t get one past Liz Knox today, she had plenty of good chances.

SHOUTOUT

Today’s shoutout goes to the Brampton Thunder’s Courtney Birchard. Birchard played in her 100th game in the CWHL today, scoring the second of Brampton’s goals. She is only the 8th player in the history of the team to notch 100 games.

COMING UP NEXT

The Furies play in their final home games of the season next weekend, beginning with Saturday, January 21st at the MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence. Puck drops at 8pm.
