With Saturday’s 2-1 win over Les Canadiennes de Montreal, the Toronto Furies brought Montreal’s winning streak to an end (to the surprise of nobody who’s seen them play this season). The game also marked the Furies debut for rookie Danielle Gagne.

  • Second period remains scoreless and penalty free until 9:36, when Cathy Chartrand went to the box for Les Canadiennes.

  • It’s not enough. Furies win! 2-1.

BLUE WARRIOR

Tonight’s Blue Warrior is, without a doubt, Kelly Terry. She scored the game winner for the Furies tonight and was all over the ice, fighting for the puck and creating chances all game. Honourable mention goes to Danielle Gagne, who made her Furies debut tonight. The forward was a solid presence on the ice tonight, creating opportunities for her linemates and keeping the puck in the zone.

SHOUTOUT

Today’s shoutout goes to the Furies’ partner teams: the Etobicoke Dolphins, the Toronto Leaside Wildcats, the Mississauga Chiefs, the North York Storm, the Oakville Hornets, and the Scarborough Sharks. All the girls from the partner teams turned out in force tonight to cheer on the Furies.

COMING UP NEXT

The Toronto Furies next play on Sunday 20th November in the second half of their weekend match up against Les Canadiennes de Montreal. Puck drops at 1pm at MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence.
