If it’s Craig Berube who ultimately gets the job, Toronto’s star players are in for a rude awakening: Leafs Morning Take

To this point, we know Craig Berube and Todd McLellan have interviewed for the head coaching job in Toronto.
Will anyone else enter the fray? We shall see.
At any rate, we kicked off the Tuesday edition of Leafs Morning Take by dissecting Bruins general manager Don Sweeney’s comments from Monday. In short, he would like to see NHL officials speak to the media regarding their calls. All this stems from the Sam Bennett sucker punch on B’s captain Brad Marchand in Game 3. Saint on saint violence. Remarkable.
Additionally, we also discussed the suspension to Colorado’s Valeri Nichushkin. This is unprecedented stuff. The Russian forward tallied nine goals in five postseason outings for the Avalanche, who are now down 3-1 in their series against Dallas.
Presented by Greta Bar YYZ, we combed through the very latest on the coaching search. Honestly, there wasn’t much in the form of new information to go over. Even though he’s interviewing in Winnipeg, it still sounds like Craig Berube’s the frontrunner. Meantime, Todd McLellan is still firmly in the mix as well. On Berube, we broke down a clip of him in St. Louis going viral over the past few days essentially ripping his star players. If Chief gets the job, there will be no free passes. Accountability is the name of the game.
Then, brought to you by Wendy’s, we debate Max Domi vs. Tyler Bertuzzi. There’s a growing sense that the Leafs will only be able to keep one of the two forward, so naturally, we gave our thoughts on who we would keep if we were Brad Treliving and company.

Also, new Sens head coach Travis Green stopped by. That said, the audio was choppy, so it’s up to you if you would like to go and check out the interview. Our apologies for the technical difficulties.
