John Tavares will be getting a significant linemate upgrade in Toronto
Well, it’s officially official.
While we don’t know quite who’s going to be getting his two flanks, John Tavares is the newest Toronto Maple Leaf.
And the speculation has been pouring out for his potential linemates.
The Athletic’s James Mirtle tweeted his thoughts out…
while others were quick to follow.
While we don’t quite know who he’ll end up with in Toronto, let’s take a quick dive into who he played with on Long Island.
Here’s the full list of any line he played with in his time there, sorted by 5v5 TOI:

You’ll notice a lot of Matt Moulson, who couldn’t crack the Buffalo Sabres roster this season, PA Parenteau, who just retired from the NHL, Anders Lee, who never hit 50 points until last season, and Josh Bailey, who turned from a 32-point player at age 26 to a 71-point guy this past year.
It’s gonna be a lot of fun, folks!
