Kane auditions for a spot on a contender. Hawks beat Leafs 5-3: Game Highlights

Patrick Kane dialed back the clock with a vintage performance on Sunday night. He had a hat trick halfway through the game and finished with four points. Once again the Leafs struggled against one of the worst teams in the league. Below are the highlights from the game.

Shortly after his second goal, Kane picked up the hat trick. He banked the puck off Samsonov and just  across the goal line from behind the net. It was called no-goal on the ice but after a quick review the play was overturned…

Noel Acciari brought the Leafs within one late in the period. David Kampf set him up by batting the puck out of the air with his glove and making a one handed pass for Acciari’s first goal as a Leaf. 3-2…

Max Domi was looking for an insurance marker late in the third but Samsonov made a huge save to keep the Leafs in it…

It just wasn’t the Leafs night. Kane picked up his fourth point of the game assisting on Domi’s empty net goal. 5-3 Hawks final. Do we see one of these guys in a Leafs sweater before the trade deadline?
