As expected, the Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled defenseman Travis Dermott and forward Frederik Gauthier to the big boys&#8217; club. Dermott and Gauthier had been returned to the Marlies during the Leafs&#8217; NHL-mandated bye week, but they&#8217;re back, present at practice, and ready to go.

Dermott&#8217;s first call-up was earlier this month, and by and large the reviews have been positive. He hasn&#8217;t seemed out of place at all and has registered an assist in two games played.
Gauthier is a familiar sight by now, and as a depth option at center, I&#8217;ve got no real complaints. (Except that maybe I&#8217;d like to see Aaltonen, but whatever.)
One note &#8212; <a href="https://twitter.com/kristen_shilton/status/953004339165057034" target="_blank" rel="noopener">per Kristen Shilton</a>, Dermott is now wearing #23 instead of the #3 he was wearing during his first call-up. Gauthier is still in #33.
