Tonight we get our first look at Terry “Uncle Pennybags” Pegula’s Buffalo Sabres. The city of Buffalo has long been known for its frugality, from making their contribution to the culinary world of the scraps of a chicken, to savagely beating a cab-driver over a matter of a few cents. The last time the city of Buffalo spent this lavishly on anything was the 1901 Pan-American Exposition.
It was supposed to be a celebration of “commercial well being and good understanding among the American Republics." Or, “hey Central and South America we’re going to mess with your shit for the next 100 years, deal with it.” Unfortunately, the only thing anyone remembers about it is that it’s where President McKinley was shot. Pegula’s Sabres are looking to avoid a similar fate. McKinley was assassinated by Leon Czolgosz an Anarchist with Prussian and Belarussian heritage. Maybe Grabbo can harness some of that crazy.

This is the 4th of the Leafs 7 pre-season games and should features most of our opening night line-up.
Here is the line-up via @ReporterChris:
Forwards:
Lupul – Connolly – Kessel
Kulemin – Grabovski – MacArthur
Kadri – Bozak – Frattin
Orr – Boyce – Rosehill – Crabb
Defence:
Phaneuf – Aulie
Schenn – Liles
Gunnarsson – Franson
Komisarek – Gardiner
Goalies:
Reimer
Scrivens
Ever since Reimer showed up the Leafs have fared much better against the Sabres.
Some things to watch for:
  • Connolly facing his former team for the first time
  • Will the MGK line have a better game than their first?
  • Can Kadri keep up his solid play?
  • Will Frattin continue to push for a spot on the team?
Should be a good tilt.
Go Leafs Go!
