Leafs Select Sean Durzi 52nd Overall

With their second pick of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, the Leafs select the overage defenseman from the Owen Sound Attack, Sean Durzi.
The right-handed defenseman had a total of 15 goals and 49 points in 40 games. Durzi should have been drafted last year, and all 31 teams didn’t make the same mistake.
As our own Ian Tulloch said in his rankings:
Players who produced like Durzi did in his D+1 year go on to become NHL players extremely often (~48% of the time), making him an incredible value pick in the second round (or maybe later depending on how far he slips because of the “overager” label).
Get rid of the overager label, and Durzi is an extremely good pick at this spot in the draft. If he was drafted late last year, he would have been considered a steal to whatever team he went to.
