What is now becoming a carousel for the young forward, Trevor Moore will be sent back down to the Marlies, now that the Leafs have finished their sweep of the California road trip.
He has yet to make his NHL debut, but he now has lived the NHL life in small bite-sized pieces. The Thousand Oaks, CA native practiced with the team in his home state and has been traveling with the team.
The 23-year-old winger is now in his third year within the Leafs organization, arriving as an undrafted college free agent. He is currently having his best year with the Marlies so far, scoring nine goals and three assists in twelve games so far.
It is uncertain when exactly Moore will make his NHL debut, but he has certainly earned his shot. He plays a defensively-minded game and has the very important ability to strip the puck from his opponents with ease – something Babcock will definitely love.
His earlier call-up was for sure just in case of injury, so an upcoming move is unlikely – unless Nylander is signed this week.
