According to Mike Babcock, Leo Komarov is healthy enough to play in Wednesday’s decisive Game 7 in Boston. That said, Babcock isn’t sure whether or not the gritty, veteran winger will be inserted back into the lineup.

Komarov has played two games in the playoffs this year. He hasn’t recorded a point and owns a 35.71 Corsi For percentage at even strength. Komarov was injured in Game 2 after suffering a “lower body” injury in a hit with Kevan Miller.
As effective as Komarov can be as a pest, it’s extremely difficult to rationalize tinkering with a lineup that’s won back-to-back games against the Bruins while on the brink of elimination. I mean, who would you take out of the lineup? Andreas Johnsson and Kasperi Kapanen have both brought an element of speed and skill that makes Toronto’s attack deeper. Throwing a rusty Komarov into the lineup at the expense of one of those two players doesn’t make sense at this point.
