Oh no, the Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Club appear to be at it again tonight.
I guess we’ll have to watch that.
A day after Nick Foles beat Tom Brady in the Super Bowl, could Auston Matthews beat Francois Beauchemin?
Only one way to find out!

  • No changes expected from Saturday’s lineup, which probably means the Leafs will change everything at the morning skate.
  • These lines are good, no?
  • It would be nice to see Nikita Zaitsev score.
  • It would be nice to see Dominic Moore score.
  • It  would be nice to… okay, we’ll stop now.
Update:
Well, Connor Carrick might be sitting tonight. Hrmph.

  • The Ducks come into the game just a point out of the last Wild Card spot in the West, but with a game more played than the Minnesota Wild and two teams (Colorado and Calgary) even with them on points.
  • Richard Rakell is the team’s leading scorer, with 41 points in 48 games.
  • Anaheim might just be the league’s most average team. Their goal differential is slightly below even (-2), they’re 20th in goals for and 13th in goals against, while exactly 16th in points percentage. If they heat up a little bit, they might be scary, but they’re not quite at the same talent level they were a year ago when they advanced to the WCF.
  • After a three-game win streak overlapping the all-star break, the Ducks come in with losses against Montreal and Ottawa in back-to-back games. Can the Leafs make it three in three?

Starting goaltenders

It’s looking like it’ll be Ryan Miller up against Frederik Andersen in this one.
They were, of course, involved in this “fight” last year, when Miller was a member of the Canucks.

Failed to load video.

Miller’s posted a very respectable .922 this season in 17 games, while Frederik Andersen has posted a .921 in 44 games this year.
