Toronto travel to KeyBank center tonight to face off against the lowly Sabres. The two side met just last week as the Buds lost 5-3.
Last night Toronto defeated Dallas 6-5 in a thrilling encounter. JVR took all the headlines as he netted a hat-trick but it was Tyler Bozak and Mitch Marner who scored the all important goals in the shootout to give the Leafs two points.

Garret Sparks has been called up from the AHL to replace the injured Freddie Andersen. A upper-body injury has been cited for Andersen with the presumption he was injured by Alexander Radulov/Roman Polak pushing Radulov onto his head.
Hopefully Andersen comes back soon – but there is no rush as the Buds are comfortably placed in the playoffs.
Notes:
The Leafs are 33 points ahead of the Sabres. Thirty-three. Just let that sink in.
JVR scored his third career hat-trick last night – now I am sad that he probably won’t be a Leaf much longer.
