The Leafs welcome the Vegas Golden Knights to town on this early November evening. Vegas is 6-7-1 on the season, and is performing much more like the expansion team we thought they were. The Leafs, meanwhile, are coming off of a dominant 5-0 win in Pittsburgh that saw them improve to 9-5-0 on the season and 6-0-0 on the road.
The real challenge tonight will be getting the W at home. The Leafs have been ungood at Scotiabank Arena, going 3-5-0 to start the season in their newly renamed barn.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The Leafs will roll with the same lines as they did on Saturday night, meaning recent recall Trevor Moore continues to await his NHL debut, and Martin Marincin remains in the press box.
Auston Matthews is now over a week into being out with a shoulder injury, and William Nylander continues to sit. But you knew that.

Patches is in for the Golden Knights tonight, in anticipation for his return to Montreal on Saturday. Paul Stastny and Nate Schmidt remain out for Vegas, the former long-term with a knee injury and the latter now 14 games into a 20 game suspension for roid’s.
