LGD: Taking the Tank on Tour

I feel better. I was getting a little anxious there after the Toronto Maple Leafs won three straight games (and five of their last six), but with an ‘L’ against Boston, the tank is back on track. And better yet, it’s heading out on tour. After a lengthy six-game homestand, the Leafs will head out on a three-game roadie to the State of Florida, with a stop in beautiful Buffalo on the way back up.

Tonight, Toronto visits the Tampa Bay Lightning. Blah blah blah, future Leaf Steven Stamkos, blah blah blah.

No major changes here. The lineup will continue to showcase the youth unless some of Toronto’s injured vets somehow magically heal themselves and show up to the arena. Unlikely.

Currently sitting in last place, the Edmonton Oilers sit two points ahead of the Leafs, but with four games in hand. And, hey, would you look at that… Vancouver is only two points ahead as well? With a game in hand? Canadian hockey teams, man. They all suck. Hopefully Toronto sucks the most.

Tampa recently found their own three-game winning streak come to an end, as Florida handed them a 5-2 loss on Saturday night. It was actually a pretty big loss, as the Bolts and Panthers are currently battling for the top spot in the Atlantic Division, with Florida ahead by just two points and equal games played. Tampa would be thrilled to pick up a big two points tonight only to become Toronto boosters and cheer them on as the Leafs visit the Panthers tomorrow night.
