The Leafs (3-1-0) are back in action tonight after back-to-back seven goal wins. Their opponents are the 0-1-2 Detroit Red Wings, still looking for their first W of the season.
Tonight’s game is the third of four straight on the road for the Leafs, and they’ll be looking to stay undefeated during this little stint away from Scotiabank Arena. One would think their odds look pretty good against a bottom-feeding Red Wings squad, wouldn’t you say?

Igor Ozhiganov is out and Martin Marincin is in for the Leafs tonight. Other than that, it’s still a beautiful sight to be hold to see Kasperi Kapanen on the top line with Auston Matthews. He’s deserved it, too; he’s riding a streak of 4 points in 2 games beside the explosive centerman, and will look to continue turning heads tonight.

Pretty amazing that the team with the league’s highest cap hit consists almost completely of fake players. At least the offense has some notable names, but jeez louise is that D-core ever horrific.

Frederik Andersen comes into the game looking to improve his October-classic .892 save percentage. Jimmy Howard, meanwhile, has a .924 through two games, but no wins. Really makes you think.

- What’s the over/under on Auston Matthews goals tonight? 2.5?
- Is this the night Nazem Kadri finally gets going? The Leafs’ third line center has yet to register a goal this season; let’s hope he breaks that trend.
