Mailbag: Stolen, Sealed, Delivered. By Me.

I stole the mailbag from Jeffler this week, so for the first time ever you’ll get some actual answers to your questions.

Dion and Phil are impossible to trade so their no move clauses are null anyways.

The
Leafs would be lucky to get Semin straight up for Kessel let alone the
5th overall pick, especially if Crouse is still on the board. Plus, good
luck getting Phil to move at all in the summer.

But
maybe Ron Francis hated playing with Jeff O’Neill so much that he wants
to give him an aneurism by acquiring Kessel. I can both understand that and get behind that.
And Kessel going to Carolina would finally validate Bill Watters four
years later kind of.

Also, big shoutout to my boy Eklund. Guy swings for the fences on every pitch, knowing eventually he’s bound to at least hit a single.

Phil’s asset is already maximized. That’s kind the problem.

This
one wasn’t a question, but I don’t care. Trade both goalies.
Goaltending has been a strength of this organization for the last couple
years and we don’t need that getting in the way of drafting Auston
Matthews in 2016.

Literally
go to Canadian Tire and buy one of these for $40 and put it in net all
season. Then we can listen to Glenn Healy talk all year about how it is
the only goalie in the league that gives up goals high glove.

No,
despite a 2-0 series lead the Marlies don’t have enough character and
toughness to win. And I most definitely wrote this answer a few days
ago.
