Maple Leafs at Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report

The Maple Leafs are 9-9-4 this season after falling 6-1 against the Pittsburgh Penguins last Saturday. On the injury front, a third forward has gone down as left wing Trevor Moore (shoulder) is sidelined.  With an offence led by centres John Tavares and Auston Matthews, Toronto ranks second in the 31-team NHL in five-on-five shot-attempt percentage (53.70 percent), but that hasn’t translated into results as the Maple Leafs rank 12th in goals scored (3.18) and 23rd (3.41) in goals against. On special teams, Toronto is 22nd on the power play (16.7 percent) and 25th (75.0) in penalty killing.
Frederik Andersen, who had the night off last Saturday, should be back in goal for Toronto. Andersen is 9-4-3 this season with a 2.74 goals-against average and .912 save percentage.
Vegas is 10-9-3 this season after a 6-0 rout against the Calgary Flames on Sunday. The Golden Knights, who have a solid three-line attack helmed by centres William Karlsson, Cody Eakin and Paul Stastny, are eighth in five-on-five shot-attempt percentage (52.04 percent), ranking 16th in goals scored and 15th in goals against (2.95). Vegas’ power play ranks 10th (21.6 per cent) and its penalty killing ranks fourth (87.2) in the league.
Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury is 10-5-1 this season with a 2.52 goals-against average and .920 save percentage. Backup Malcolm Subban started when the Golden Knights lost against Toronto 2-1 in overtime on November 7.
Toronto faces the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday in the third game of six-game road trip.
