Maple Leafs select Adam Brooks with 92nd overall pick
By Ryan Fancey
7 years agoToronto has already taken one prospect in this draft who was passed over in years previous, and now they’ve done it again by taking Adam Brooks with the 92nd overall pick. Brooks played for the Regina Pats of the WHL this past season, scoring 120 points in 72 games.
So, the Leafs have taken a third-year-eligible player, but they’ve gone back to the loose strategy they used last year in targeting undersized skill guys. Brooks hasn’t been listed on many pre-draft rankings, but Future Considerations did have him 148th in their draft guide. Toronto gets him nearly two rounds earlier than that.
