Let’s look at a chart to start things off. The Leafs are in red, and their line goes up every time they attempt a shot.
They scored one goal in this game. The Rangers scored four. Hrmph.
The Leafs’ only goal was this beauty from Kasperi Kapanen, in which a bad guy (look it up if you don’t believe!) turned the puck over to the fastest player this side of Saskatchewan.

But Alexandar Georgiev made 55 saves on his 23rd birthday. Let’s forget all about this one and just move onto Tuesday. The Leafs had a bunch of power play time, Nazem Kadri had 12 shots on net allegedly, and the Leafs lost by three to a team openly rebuilding. Hockey’s a dumb sport, and this might’ve been the dumbest game of the season.

Who wore the Crown?

After every Leaf game, we’re recognizing one Leaf player who best exemplified what it means to play hockey the “Toronto Way”: with heart and soul, above all else. Who wore the Crown is brought to you by Crown Royal, passionate fans of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Heck, let’s give it to Alexandar Georgiev. It is his birthday, after all.
