11 years agoIt’s a difficult afternoon to concentrate on hockey, so this New Jersey Devils/Toronto Maple Leafs “preview” post will just be a few numbers and line combinations rather than any pontificating spiel about roster decisions or optimization.

Per Randy Carlyle, Joffrey Lupul is available for the Leafs tonight. We should know by warm up whether or not he’s back in the lineup. I don’t think it’s a boost the Leafs need at this point. They have a lot of scoring right now and would clinch a playoff spot if they managed just five points in their last seven games. I get you don’t want to take your foot off the gas pedal, but I don’t think they should take chances with head injuries of any kind.
Any members of Leafs Nation in or around Boston today, stay safe. Every other member of Leafs Nation… you guys stay safe as well. Full recap as scheduled after the game.
