Previewing the weekend + exploring the great goal song debate: Leafs Morning Take

With an extra day off between games for the Leafs, we had some fun on Friday’s edition of Leafs Morning Take.

We kicked things off by talking about how much I hate being ghosted and/or responded to seven days later. What kind of texter are you? Personally, I think there should be some sort of texter rehab, or something. Fire me up.

After that, we jumped into the whole debate about Toronto’s current goal song. We can’t be the only ones who are sick of it, right? It’s 2023; give the players the power to pick a personalized goal song. Furthermore, I know a couple teams around the league – namely Buffalo – have already adopted that format. It makes a lot of sense, especially for this era.

Additionally, we tackled this weekend’s back-to-back against Montreal and Chicago, respectively. For what it’s worth, Jay ‘don’t call me Mark Messier’ Rosie was unwillingly to lay out a four point guarantee this time around. He’s learning.

Lastly, we unveiled a new segment called, “Ask Rosey Anything”, which obviously is pretty self-explanatory. It was a lot of fun; make sure to go and check that out.
