Welcome to TheLeafsNation Game Day where we take a look at today’s Leafs game and a few other things happening around the league.
If there’s one thing that North Division teams love this year, it’s playing the struggling Ottawa Senators. Stuck amid a rebuild, they’ve struggled to win games and tonight, Toronto has an opportunity to continue their hot start.

Who I like

The Maple Leafs big guns should keep rolling today with Auston Matthews ($8,800), Freddie Andersen ($8,500), Mitch Marner ($7,500) John Tavares ($6.500) and William Nylander ($5,300) all providing what should be great value.
Ilya Mikheyev ($3,700) has provided good, cheaper value all season averaging 8.4 FPPG and Joe Thornton ($2,900) could provide some too in his return.
There’s not much to like from Ottawa, but Thomas Chabot ($6,000) and

Around the NHL

There’s tons of action happening around the league today and here’s a few plays I like on this busy Family Day.
I like Semyon Varlamov ($8,200) in net against a Buffalo Sabres team that has sat for the last number of weeks, and I think Kevin Lankinen ($7,800) provides great value, too.
Up front, Sebastian Aho ($6,300) has been a stud for the Carolina Hurricanes averaging 16.3 FPPG while some of my favourite plays this year — Patric Hornqvist ($5,800, 13.7 FPPG) and Carter Verhaeghe ($4,900, 7 FPPG) will look to continue rolling.
On the backend, Brett Pesce ($4,000) has provided great value scoring 11.2 FPPG this year.
