Welcome to TheLeafsNation Game Day where we take a look at today’s Leafs game and a few other things happening around the league all with daily fantasy in mind.
After expecting there to be an offensive outburst last time these two met, I was disappointed. Will that change tonight between the Leafs and the Jets? Who knows. One thing I do know is that there’s the offensive firepower sitting on the benches to make it happen.

Who I like

Again, given the offensive firepower between these teams I would once again fade either of the goaltenders in this game.
Auston Matthews ($9,000) is warming back up to his early season scoring pace. He’s got six points in his last four games and is starting to look as good as he did early in the season again. I like him tonight.
At $5,200, Zach Hyman could be a solid play. He had two points the other night against the Jets and could be in line for another solid game.
On the other end, Nik Ehlers ($6,900) has had the Leafs number this year scoring six points in five games. He was held off the scoresheet the last time these teams met, and I doubt it could happen two games in a row.

Around the NHL

Hard to pick against the Colorado Avalanche, but Jordan Binnington ($7,100) could be a solid play tonight. I think there’s some value there with Colorado playing their backup against the Blues tonight.
A sneaky play tonight could be Jesse Puljujarvi ($4,300) against the Calgary Flames. He’s got four goals and five points against the Flames this year averaging three FPPG more against them than other teams.
