Welcome to TheLeafsNation Game Day where we take a look at today’s Leafs game and a few other things happening around the league all with daily fantasy in mind.
After a four day break, the Toronto Maple Leafs look to quell a skid with the hot Calgary Flames coming in to the six.

Who I like

While he’s not scoring at the blistering pace he started the season off at, Auston Matthews is still one of the league’s most productive players. He isn’t cheap at $9,300, but has averaged almost 16 FPPG in the last 10 games. He’s scored five points in four games against Calgary this year.
A sleeper pick could be Pierre Engvall ($2,800), who has scored four of his six points on the season in the last 10 games. He’s been on a bit of a hot streak recently.
He isn’t scoring like he did to start the year, but Jake Muzzin ($4,900) has been as productive as you can ask for. Scoring just two points in the last 10 games, he’s still averaging over 7 FPPG in that time.

Around the NHL

In net I like Jordan Binnington ($7,800) against the St. Louis Blues. He’s secured two wins in five games against the Sharks this year averaging nearly 11 points in those games. While the Blues have hit a bit of a cold streak, I see a good chance for them to rebound tonight.
Coming off a phenomenal six point performance, Mika Zibanejad ($5,800) will look to keep the offence coming against the Washington Capitals. When a player is feeling it offensively like him, he’s never a bad play in your lineups.
A cheaper play tonight could be Nate Schmidt ($3,700), who has scored five points in his last 10 games. He’s coming off a strong fantasy performance Wednesday that saw him score 18 points and will look to continue that tonight against Montreal.
