The Toronto Maple Leafs placed defenceman @Teemu Kivihalme on waivers Friday morning.
Drafted by the Predators in the fifth round of the 2013 draft, Kivihalme was signed as a free agent in 2019. Following his draft year he spent three seasons playing for Colorado College in the NCAA racking up 36 points in 107 games.

The 26-year-old has yet to play in any NHL games. He is entering the second year of a two-year contract that pays him an NHL salary of $725,000 and a minor league salary of $70,000, according to PuckPedia.
