The Toronto Maple Leafs have inked center Denis Malgin to a one-year, $700,000 contract extension.
The 23-year-old native of Olten, Switzerland, was drafted by the Florida Panthers in the 4th round of the 2015 draft.
He was acquired by the Leafs in Feb. 2020 in a deal that saw Toronto trade Mason Marchment for Malgin. He appeared in eight games for Toronto scoring no points.
He’s played in 192 NHL games over the last four seasons scoring 28 goals and 60 points.
