The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed two players to one-year, two-way contracts.
Forwards Mike Amadio and Brett Seney will be joining the organization on the deals, each of which carries an NHL salary of $750k, the club announced.
Amadio, 25, was drafted in the third round of the 2014 draft by the LA Kings last year was traded to the Ottawa Senators. He’s appeared in 173 NHL games scoring 16 goals and 40 points playing third and fourth line minutes. He’s spent a fair amount of time in AHL, too, appearing in 130 games scoring 35 goals and 104 points.
Seney, also 25, was a sixth-round pick of the New Jersey Devils in 2015 and remained with that organization until this offseason. He’s played in 53 NHL games scoring five goals and 13 points on the fourth line. In the AHL, Seney’s scored 30 goals and 81 points in 129 games.
At the very least, both depth moves would greatly benefit the Marlies as the pair have provided solid offensive production up front there.
