  1. If the Leafs were looking for a win tonight they couldn’t seem to find it.

Sad. We are all sad. It was going so well and then it wasn’t. Before we go on to the next lets recap what happened tonight.
They were sloppy. 10 PIM, 23 giveaways, only 23 shots on goal. This team is capable of so much more, so what do we blame this loss on?
The first period begins with the free flying gazelle, or giraffe as some may say, @Pierre Engvall gave us a bit of a heart attack about a minute and a half into the first. What we thought was the first Leafs goal of the game was quickly reversed. It’s disappointing, but alas the game must go on. The shots on goal for the period were tied at seven. Both teams with amazing chances, both goalies with impeccable saves. Overall a very successful first period.
A minute forty-one seconds into the second period, the Winnipeg Jets open up the scoring with a goal from Mason Appleton. The game continues and the minutes later @Zach Bogosian takes a penalty for slashing Jets Captain Blake Wheeler. As disappointing as the Leafs taking a penalty may be, @Jake Muzzin swoops at 5:03 into the period to make it all even again.
Minutes later the king Willy Styles does what he knows best and breaks the tie with a BEAUTY of a goal. Assists coming from @Justin Holl and Jumbo @Joe Thornton working hard along the boards to make this play happen and get the Toronto Maple Leafs the 2-1 lead.

The second period comes to a close with the Jets tying up the score once more with a goal from Paul Stastny with 3:26 left in the period.
Intermission ate whatever good mojo this teams had left. Their game went downhill as soon as they stepped on the ice. Unfortunate really, but the Winnipeg Jets ended the period with three goals added to their total. One from Adam Lowry, another form Nikolaj Ehlers, and the cherry on top from Mark Scheifele which came from a disastrous effort and possibly a disastrous call in the final minutes.
5-3 for two minutes, TWO WHOLE MINUTES. DID THEY WANT TO WIN THIS GAME? Maybe, maybe not.
We are frustrated too.

Most Valuable Leaf: William Nylander

In just over 15 minutes on the ice Will played a game that is hard to hate on. A goal, hard work, intelligent plays. He was definitely the player to watch tonight. His perseverance and dedication to getting the job done really showed tonight and like other, I hope to see it again tomorrow

Least Valuable Leaf: Zach Bogosian and Travis Dermott

A mess. This pair was so brutal its not even funny. They had so many opportunities too literally just not be bad, but what can you do? They need to get their act together and really perform against the Sens

Tweet of the Night:

A scenario we all wish we could have been in.
Honourable mention:
This was a positive though.
