Betano Holidays Q&A with Giannis Antetokounmpo: Can the Greek Freak skate?

The festive season was in full effect with Betano and 2-time MVP & Betano Global Ambassador, Giannis Antetokounmpo! The Greek Freak answered holiday and sports questions from Betano users around the world, wishing for them to spend the holidays with their loved ones. Questions were submitted from Canada, Portugal, Nigeria, Bulgaria, Romania, and the Czech Republic.
Giannis Antetokounmpo uploaded a Q&A video on his social media account where he answered questions about which country he’d most like to spend his Christmas, what’s his favourite Christmas song, and if he has tried ice hockey including which among his brothers would make for the best hockey player.
Question: “Have you tried ice hockey? Who among your brothers would be good at it?”
Giannis’ Answer: “Ice hockey? Nah man. I’d probably say Thanasis or Alex. Me and Kostas would be like a deer on skates, like Bambi!”
At his height of 6’ 11”, Giannis Antetokounmpo would tower over some of the tallest NHL players to ever lace them up like Zdeno Chara, Ben Bishop, Tyler Myers, and Victor Hedman. Despite his world-class athleticism, it’s surprising Giannis hasn’t picked up some skills on skates after spending his winters in Wisconsin since 2013. He could join Steve Nash, J.J Watt, and Tom Glavine as superstar athletes from other sports who can play hockey.
If the Antetokounmpo brothers find their love for skating and hockey, they’ll instantly become the biggest fans (height-wise) in the state of Wisconsin.
The 2023 Holiday season at Betano has been filled with high spirits, amazing surprises, and incredible sporting events across the World Juniors, NBA, NFL, and NHL.
Our partners at Betano, and Betano Global Ambassador Giannis Antetokounmpo all wish you a happy holiday season and look forward to a wonderful 2024!
